OPPO/OnePlus AirVOOC: wireless charging

AirVOOC is OPPO's proprietary fast wireless charging technology, with compatible implementations also used in OnePlus devices. It is compatible with Qi BPP (5W) and Qi EPP (up to 10W). Achieving maximum power requires precise positioning of the smartphone relative to the charger's coils. AirVOOC is available at several power levels, while actual charging power depends on the capabilities of both the smartphone and the charger.

For high-power wireless charging, the system uses higher voltage and relatively low current, which helps reduce resistive losses in the thin receiver coil. In high-power AirVOOC implementations, OPPO also uses isolated charge pumps to improve efficiency and safety.

AirVOOC versions and power levels:

30W AirVOOC wireless flash charge - a version of the technology rated at up to 30W.
40W AirVOOC wireless flash charge - a production version introduced with the OPPO Ace2. The smartphone also supports reverse wireless charging at up to 10W.
45W AirVOOC wireless flash charge - a separate AirVOOC Wireless Charger 45W charging stand sold by OPPO.
50W AirVOOC wireless flash charge - a dual-coil charging stand supporting fast wireless charging with the smartphone in either portrait or landscape orientation.
65W AirVOOC wireless flash charge - a technology introduced by OPPO together with a concept charging stand. It uses two parallel power channels rated at 40W and 25W. With the smartphone in portrait orientation, combined power can reach 65W; in landscape orientation, charging is limited to up to 25W.

OPPO specified five levels of protection and foreign object detection (FOD). If a metal object is detected between the smartphone and the charging surface, charging stops.
