The arrival of high-performance processors from NVIDIA, AMD, and Apple Silicon, together with large amounts of shared memory, has made local AI accessible in different formats: from laptops to compact home workstations. This new class of computers, designed primarily to run AI models locally, is also sometimes called "agentic computers". They share an architecture in which the processor and integrated graphics accelerator use the same large pool of high-speed memory. This all
