Meizu mCharge, Super mCharge

​Meizu's mCharge and Super mCharge solutions are proprietary fast-charging technologies.

mCharge protocol is based on MTK PE+1.1 protocol.

Super mCharge was introduced in 2017. It can deliver up to 55W of power (11V max, 5A max).

Meizu is using a charge pump, a type of DC-to-DC converter that uses an external circuit to control the connection of capacitors to the input voltage.

For Super mCharge, Meizu divides the input voltage in half, which doubles the output current. 

Super mCharge includes voltage, current, and temperature monitoring for battery health and safety. Because the regular USB-C cable can't conduct more than 3A of current, it includes an E-mark IC (electronically marked safety chip) on one connector.
