Meizu mCharge, Super mCharge

Meizu's mCharge and Super mCharge solutions are proprietary fast-charging technologies.

mCharge protocol is based on MTK PE+1.1 protocol.

Super mCharge was introduced in 2017. It can deliver up to 55W of power (up to 11V, up to 5A).

Super mCharge uses a charge pump - a switched-capacitor DC-DC converter.

It halves the input voltage, which doubles the output current at the same power.

Super mCharge monitors voltage, current, and temperature to protect the battery. A dedicated USB-C - USB-C cable with an e-marker chip is used to carry 5A.

Charging protocols:

  • mCharge: 5V3A, 8V3A, 12V2A - up to 24W (USB-A - USB-C cable).

  • Super mCharge: up to 11V, up to 5A - 55W (5A USB-C - USB-C cable with an e-marker chip).
